Compression is not a one size fits all product. We are licensed physical therapists who have partnered with top-of-the-line compression companies to offer the best medical grade compression.
Can I benefit from using compression gear?
Anyone with a history or risk of lymphedema, varicose veins or chronic swelling could benefit from medical compression. If you are unsure if compression is right for your condition, speak to your healthcare provider or call us directly to discuss your needs. Comfort Compression can address swelling with the best compression options.
Why is it important to have a professional, custom compression cuff vs. store-bought or homemade?
Compression garments are not regulated by the FDA. Off the shelf garments usually do not provide graded or consistent compression, have unverified pressures, and may use fabrics that damage or irritate skin. We only work with top compression companies, that have been around for 100 years, and produce quality medical grade compression that you can trust. Further, the options for compression garments are overwhelming and unlimited. Our trained specialist will ensure you are being measured and fit with the best compression for your needs.
Will my insurance cover this?
We will provide you with any necessary documentation to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company if you have coverage for such garments. There is no consultation fee. You simply pay for the cost of your garment which will be discussed at your initial appointment prior to order placement.
How do I book? Do I need a doctor referral?
Call our office and schedule and in person appointment. Our lymphedema specialist will assess your need, measure, and recommend the best type of compression garment to manage your swelling. You can expect to have a follow up appointment once your compression garment is received by Comfort Compression. Each garment is custom ordered to ensure the absolute best fit for each individual. At the follow up appointment, you will try on your garment to ensure the proper fit and be taught proper wear and care of your new garment.
